An open session on the rescue of the four year old child Jihad who died on Saturday 28th December 2014 in a tragic accident when he fell in a three hundred feet deep water pipe line while playing with other children dug at Dhaka's Shahjahanpur on Friday was held at the seminar hall of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. Among the heroic five rescuer Mr. Kabir Murad studying in the Department of Textile Engineering of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology himself shared his experience on how he got involved in the rescue work and the way of application of the iron cage that was used to rescue the child from the pipe.
The session was conducted by Prof.Dr.A.M.M. Safiullah the honorable Vice-Chancellor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.
The students of the university and journalists from the Daily Alokito Bangladesh and from other news papers were present during the session.

Anwarul Haque , Head & Dean Department of MPE , Dr. M.A. Muktadir , Professor & Head , Department of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahim Mollah, Professor & Head, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Prof. Dr. Mustafizur Rahman Head, Department of Textile Engineering, Dr. Md. Anwarul Mustafa Head , Department of Civil Engineering were also present during the session.
