AUST Hostel Festival-2013, 3rd Reunion Program, was nicely held at Multipurpose Hall of the University with the presence of a large number of audiences beginning at 6:00 PM on 17 January 2013. The students of AUST & also boarders of AUST Hostel organized the program. Students of AUST, Heads & Deans of various Departments, and University Officers were present on the occasion.
Professor Dr. A. M. M. Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor of AUST graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer of AUST were present as the special guest. M. Abul Hussain, Advisor of Students Welfare of AUST was the advisor of this festival. The occasion was presided over by Prof. Dr. M. Shahabuddin, Proctor of AUST.
Prof. Dr. Mustafizur Rahman, Head, Department of Textile Engineering, Prof. Sirajuddaula Shaheen, Head & Dean, School of Business, Dr. Md. Ashrafur Rahman, Assistant Proctor, Mr. Tapos Sarkar, Controller of Examinations (Acting), Mashiur Rahman, Assistant Proctor were also present there.
On the occasion, prizes for the best performer as manager in the hostel, champion & runner up tropes in sports, farewell momentous for former hostel students were given by the guests. A ceremony of disclosing souvenir related to the hostel was inaugurated by the chief guest as well.
A colorful cultural function followed the program which included the singing song, performing drama on stage, reciting poem, sharing feelings through documentary presentation. The program was followed by dinner for the participants.
