'Baishakhi Utshob-1425'

30 April, 2018

AUST Cultural Club (AUSTCC) has been formed to illuminate students' minds through developing their interpersonal skills and socio-cultural interactions. With the emergence of this club, AUST has celebrated one of the uproarious and colorful events in its history.

AUST Cultural Club (AUSTCC) has recently organized its maiden program 'Baishakhi Utshob-1425' in collaboration with ASW on 30th of April, 2018 at AUST premises. The entire program was divided into two sessions. The Morning session was all about the 'Bashakhi Mela' arranged in T.T ground of the University. Students from different departments exhibited their products and talents in around twenty stalls. The stalls were well- decorated and students, all dressed up in festive attires, and visited the stalls spontaneously. There was a jovial mood in the air. Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Advisor of Students' Welfare of AUST, inaugurated the Fair and announced the opening of Stall exhibitions as well.

The Evening session started off with the vibrant cultural program. Ar. Abontika Sara Israt, president of AUSTCC welcomed the audiences with her short inaugural speech and announced the inauguration of the club and Bashakhi Utshob-1425 as well. The vivacious Baishakhi Utshob-1425 was designed to represent our culture and traditions that we cherish in the core of our heart and all the performances were choreographed accordingly. Students from all departments performed in different cultural presentations. The program began with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Song, dance, drama, recitation, debate and other gleeful performances made the program a successful one. This Evening session was attended by a good number of faculty members and students of all departments. The organizing committee and its members worked hard to organize such a day-long convivial program.

However, everybody enjoyed the cultural program and highly appreciated the organizers for presenting various aspects of our enriched Bangladeshi culture through vigorous performances before the audiences.
