IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter and IMechE AUST student chapter, along with Mobil Jamuna Lubricants (MJL) Bangladesh Limited brought out a grand seminar titled “The Science Behind Lubricating Oils and Its Application in Engineering”. The following seminar was held on February 20, 2023, at the VC Seminar Hall of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). The seminar started at 3:00 PM and ended at 6:15 PM. The honorable Vice-Chancellor of AUST, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi attended the event as a chief guest. The keynote speaker was M. Mukul Hossain, CEO-MJL Bangladesh Limited & Engr. Md. Shahin Alom, GM-MJL Bangladesh Limited. They shared their knowledge from their field experience which helped everyone during the seminar.

The registration form was opened on February 12, 2023, and 729 participants registered before the deadline of February 19, 2023. It was a very insightful and interactive session as well. Engr. Md. Shahin Alom, GM-MJL Bangladesh Limited started with the session and shared his knowledge of the science related to lubrication on a grander scale. He shared his tales and helped audiences relate more to the key information he was delivering. He asked around questions and gave out small gifts to the audience by conducting an informal Q&A. Finally, he ended with an open discussion and questions were taken from the audience which was answered graciously by M. Mukul Hossain, CEO of MJL Bangladesh Limited.
