AUST  Business Society an Organization of the students of BBA and MBA/EMBA Program-of School of Business of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized a festival named Pitha Utshab-1421 on 10 Poush 1421 (24 December, 2014) at TT Ground of its permanent campus at Tejgaon in Dhaka. AUST Business Society is the pioneer in organizing this cultural event in AUST Campus. It was organized with a view to upholding the heritage of Bengali culture. The aim of this festival is to inspire the young generation to prolong our traditional foodstuff.

The festival was inaugurated by Prof.Dr.A.M.M Safiullah, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, AUST as the chief guest. Prof.Dr.Md.Amanullah, Dean and Head, School of Business, Mr. M. Abul Hussain, Advisor of  students Welfare, Mr. Muhammad Abdul Gaful, Registrar, Mr.Md. ABDUD Daiyan, University Engineer, Mr. Md. Muniruzzaman, Deputy Registrar, and Faculty members of School of Business were present as guest of honor. Students and teachers of different Departments of the University attended the `Pitha-Utshab at TT Ground in AUST

The 15 stalls with around 100 varieties of traditional winter cakes were set up at the festival. The festival started at 3.00 pm and continued till 6.00 pm.  To celebrate the festival, the whole ground was adorned with different adorable flowers, colorful paintings and festoons. The stalls were decorated and different stalls focused with different charming names as HRZ Pithaghar, Nakshi, Dhoasha Amez, Rakamari Pitha, Pitha Khabo, Pithar Tori, Mithai Ghar, Cocktail Return, Poushal, Pitha Nir, AUST Pitha Ghar, Grameen Pitha Ghar, Pithawala, and Haw Maw Khaw. Asst. Professor Mrinala Kanti Paul and Asst.Professor Md.Shak Forid of School of Business  planned and coordinated the festival.

As like the previous years three stalls were awarded. For best performance award.  Honorabe Vice- Chancellor Prof. Dr. A.M.M Safiullah, handed over the prizes as Chief Guest to the best stall AUST Pitha Ghar, 1st runner-up stal, Pousal, and 2nd runner-up stall Nakshi.

Special gifts were distributed from each of the stalls and the guest were warmed with a token of gift form ``AUST Business Society.
