The Orientation program of Civil Engineering Department was held on May 23, 2022. The program was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at room no. 2A06. The event was arranged to greet welcome to the newly admitted students of the Department of Civil Engineering. The honorable Head of the Department Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury graced the event as Chief Speaker. All the teachers of the Department were present in the ceremony to welcome the freshers. The event started with a brief overview of the Department in the presentation slide where the newly admitted students became acquainted with the esteemed Faculty members and Staffs. All the laboratory facilities and their locations were presented on the projector screen before them. Then Prof. Dr. Mahmudur Rahman introduced all the rules and regulations along with the marking system of the Department, and with this formal session ended up. In the following, the respected Professors of the Department i.e., Prof. Dr. Md. Shahid Mamun, Prof. Dr Ahsanul Kabir, Prof. Dr. Mujibur Rahman delivered their delicate speech for the freshers. In the end, the honorable Head of the Department Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury interacted with the students and advised them how to run their upcoming academic years smoothly. After interaction with the students the esteemed Professors met the guardians of the students at room no. 2A05 and exchanged greetings with them.
In this program, the Department of Civil Engineering handed over several gifts to the students i.e., flower, bag, pen, pencil and other stuffs. The program finally ended up giving lunch box to all of them.
